StMalo proposals for Llangefni schools site
StMalo have today submitted a feasibility layout of a regeneration scheme for the Council-owned Ysgol y Bont & Ysgol y Graig schools site in Llangefni town centre.
The 9.23 acre site, shortly to be vacated by Ysgol y Graig to a bespoke building under construction at Talwrn Road, Llangefni in September 2008 will become largely vacant except for Ysgol y Graig.
The Ysgol y Graig site is a special needs school for 30-40 children and Anglesey Council are in a dilema where to relocate the facility. StMalo have a suggested solution.
The development scheme (above) comprises 60,000 sq ft of retail, leisure uses including a 5 screen multiplex cinema, bowling alley, restaurants, 60 bed budget hotel, residential and community uses along with 500 car parking spaces.
The scheme is fully compliant with Anglesey Councils' planning policies and is highways compliant. This is the kind of regeneration scheme WAG are looking for Councils to encourage throughout Wales.
Anyone who would like a copy feasibility drawing should contact StMalo through this website and a PDF or JPEG drwaing will be emailed by return.
StMalo await Anglesey Councils' reaction.
